Class Dates: Any 7 Consecutive DaysDay One: 8:30 am - Meet at Bay Area Sailing School to take care of paperwork * Get familiar with boat & stow personal gear (boats are compact so please pack accordingly in soft side bags) * Plan meals, purchase, and stow provisions * Fill water tanks, go over mechanics of boat and sailing systems * Set sail for Port Aransas (Corpus Christi) Days Two & Three: * Spend the next two full days and nights at sea. You will gain experience standing watch, applying what you learned in the Coastal Navigation Course, identifying lights offshore, boat systems, and other areas. Day Four: * Arrive at Port Aransas. You will spend the day resting and reviewing for the Advanced Coastal Cruising test prior to taking the test that afternoon. Days Five & Six: * Depart for Clear Lake via the Gulf of Mexico. You will have the opportunity to expand on the experiences you gained on the trip to Port Aransas. Day Seven: * Return to Clear Lake in the late afternoon after having spent four days and nights sailing in the Gulf of Mexico. * After returning to the Bay Area Sailing School dock, it will be time to secure the boat including a cleaning as you would do if you were on a charter in the Caribbean. Cost: $1995 plus tax per person. We will provide the Annapolis Book of Seamanship for $32.50 if you do not already have it. Provisioning costs are shared - usually between $80-$120 per person. Our normal class size is 3-4 people per boat. We do offer the option to do this course as a private lesson (no other students aboard) for $2880 per person for two people or $6,615 for one person.
