Spinnaker Clinic
Beginning in April of 2008, we will begin holding a spinnaker clinic on the first weekend of each month. We will hold a clinic for symmetrical spinnakers on Saturday and a clinic for asymmetrical spinnakers on Sunday.
Symmetrical training will be held on a 37-40 ft sloop and will be limited to 4 students. The cost will be $225.00 per student.
Asymmetrical training will be held on a cruising sloop, 37-40 ft., and will be limited to 6 students. The cost will be $225.00 per student. Enroll in both clinics on consecutive days for only $400.00.
Additional Mentor Sails
Many of our students have told us that they would love to repeat the mentor sail that we provided at the end of their Basic Keelboat Course. Beginning this year, students who have completed the Basic Keelboat Course may sign up for additional mentor sails. The sails are approx 3 ½ hours, and begin promptly at 9:00am on Saturday mornings.
The cost is $50.00 per student, or their guest.
Sunset and Moonlight Cruises
This is a 4 hour skippered cruise on Galveston Bay. A cheese and veggie platter will be provided, along with soda and water. You may bring other beverages if you wish, such as wine or beer.
The cost is $375.00 for the first 4 people , and $25.00 for each additional person.
These cruises will normally be scheduled for Friday evenings. Weekend cruises base price is $590.00 You may customize your cruise, but additional charges may apply. 10 person maximum
Team Building
This is a unique team building experience for companies and organizations. We will break into groups of not more than 6 persons on a boat. And train you on how to sail with some emphasis on competition. Your will then compete on a course that we designate. This course is approximately 5 hours.
$250.00 per boat. Other team building options are available, but costs will vary.
I.C.W. Clinic
This is a two day clinic that will prepare you to safely navigate the Inter Coastal Waterway. Learn to communicate with barge traffic & bridge tenders. Learn what you should do when things go wrong in this very restricted environment. We will overnight at Bridge Harbor in Freeport.
The cost is $395.00 per person + provisioning and will usually be the 3rd weekend of even numbered months. Class size is 3 or 4 students.
