What to bring:   ASA Basic Keelboat Course and Certification

Items to bring:

Dress for the weather. Shorts and short sleeves are fine for the summer, but make sure you have protection from the sun. In colder months, dress warmly. Layered clothing is best, as you can add or remove items to remain comfortable.

Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bottled water.

Deck shoes or similar footwear. No dark soles please

Both books and logbook

Lunch money. We will break for lunch on both days of this course. There are numerous restaurants nearby.

Advance Reading:

Many of our students do not elect to receive their material until they arrive for class, so advanced reading is not a requirement. If you received your material ahead of time, and wish to get started, we suggest reading the first chapter of the Sailing Fundamentals book prior to the course.
